The device can be placed anywhere in the car. When the car comes back home, pull it out and plug it into a computer.
Then get a detailed report with departure and arrival times and locations.
It also reveals how many miles were driven and a top speed.
The Tracking Key software is compatible with Google Earth, and that means you can actually see a photograph of where the vehicle has been.
Legally you can place the tracker on your vehicle as long as you own the vehicle.
Salyer said it’s a good way to keep your children honest.
“You can advise them and say, ‘Yeah I’m tracking you. I know where you’re going and what you’re doing.’ And now it’s left up to his own integrity,” he said.
It’s one more way to keep your family safe. Other more sophisticated GPS devices are available that allow you to watch every move of your vehicle in real time. Many of them require monthly subscriptions.
