About the GPS Tracking Key

The GPS Tracking Key is a small, pocket-sized and portable passive GPS data logger. The internal computer accurately determines the GPS location of the device within 2.5 meters and records detailed travel activities every second.

Data stored on the Tracking Key can be accessed by inserting the unit directly into your personal computer or laptop via USB port (PC only). The information recorded by the Tracking Key can then be: viewed as a written activity/text report; displayed over a digital street map; or – the most popular option –  displayed over a satellite image on Google Earth.

Baltimore Based Cyclists Uses GPS Tracking Technology to Create Artwork

GPX Riding Creates GPS Artwork

GPS tracking devices, such as LandAirSea’s SilverCloud real-time GPS tracking system, are most commonly used by fleet management and vehicle delivery services to enhance efficiency and boost productivity. Other common applications that utilize GPS tracking technology include covert surveillance for law enforcement, detailed driving reports for small businesses, and parents who want to monitor their teen’s driving behaviors.

However, one resident in Baltimore has found a new way to use GPS tracking to create virtual art. Michael J. Wallace, who would be considered an avid cyclists and artist, has a website, WALLYGPX, which serves as a canvas for what he calls, “Virtual Geographic Adventures.” The website is a platform for Wallace to share his many interests with the rest of the world, but in a completely unique, and almost ingenius format.

Bubba Watson Cements His Name Among Golf’s Greatest

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

Just Another Example of “Bubba Golf”

The pivotal point for Bubba Watson, Jr. at the 2012 Masters Golf Tournament, came during the final round. Watson found himself in some serious trouble off the tee at No. 10, slicing his drive way right, over the gallery and into the woods. The ball was nowhere near the fairway, leaving him very little angle to get onto the 10th green.

The pressure was on for Watson, especially after Louis Oosthuizen got a lucky bounce to have a chance at the green with his second shot. It was sudden death at one of the biggest, if not the biggest, stage amongst gold tournaments. His second shot could determine his fate at The Masters, and potentially cement his name among the all the time greats in the sport.

GPS Trackers Provide Accurate Mileage Reports

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012

Cost Benefits of GPS Tracking for Small to Large Fleet Vehicle Businesses

Many small fleet businesses and companies rely on the accuracy of their driver’s mileage reports. It’s a business expense that requires significant attention, especially with escalating gas prices.

Keeping track of these expenses can be extremely tricky, and difficult to organize, especially for fleet managers and business owners who are constantly on the go. Companies who depend largely on the efficiency and effectiveness of their outside sales representatives, traveling consultants and/or fleet vehicle operators, must implement a system that allows them to determine the precise number of miles driven in order to safeguard against lost revenue due to inaccurate driving reports.
