About the LandAirSea GPS Tracking Key

The GPS Tracking Key is a battery-operated passive GPS tracking system that captures readings from the U.S. Department of Defense satellites in space, and uses the data to determine the receiver’s location, anywhere on the planet. The device records an object’s exact speed, latitude, longitude and directional heading every second. The user later retrieves the device and downloads the GPS data to personal computer. Up to 100 hours of travel history can be recorded on the Tracking Key’s powerful flash memory. GPS Tracking Provides Centerpiece Evidence in Babysitter Murder Conviction

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

evidenceWoodstock, IL – February 23, 2009 – Information retrieved from the LandAirSea GPS Tracking Key provided the Chenango County Prosecutor evidence necessary to secure a second-degree murder conviction of George Ford Jr. Ford initially contended he accidently ran over his 12 year-old babysitter Shyanne Somers in the early hours of July 8, 2007, when Shyanne asked to see Ford’s horses on Will Warner Road in the town of Otselic.  However, the defendant’s wife had placed a GPS tracking device within the vehicle after suspecting infidelity. The information from the Tracking Key conflicted with the events provided by Ford.

Prosecutors, using the GPS data, showed that Ford never went to the pasture, but instead spent more than three hours behind an abandoned farmhouse a half-mile from where the girl was killed. Investigators testified that Somers got away from Ford, who chased her and deliberately ran her down shortly after 3 a.m.

GPS Tracking – The Eye In The Sky

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

As seen in New York Central NBC

Back in July, George Ford was arrested in Chenango County for the death of a 12-year-old girl. Ford was charged with reckless endangerment. However, authorities discovered there was a global positioning system in his car. The device is called a tracking key. Ford’s wife put it in his truck, because she suspected he was having an affair. Based on the information taken from the tracking key, Ford was charged with murder.
