Can I change the recording frequency of the Tracking Key Pro® to extend battery life?
The GPS Tracking Key Pro® vehicle tracking device is programmed to record every second. The sampling rate can be changed, but it will not affect battery life. When the Tracking Key Pro® is on, it’s running off the battery, regardless of how many readings it’s taking. However, changing the sampling rate (to 5 seconds, or 10 seconds) means less data will be committed to memory, and the 100-hour memory card will fill less quickly.
